Why I Write - Pt. 2

I write because it's what I love

Since some grew up without enough

I want to bridge that gap for them

So they can help lead others in

I write because I need to speak

Since staying quiet left me weak

I choose to voice my thoughts with truth

So my best self comes shining through

I write because it's part of me

Since childhood, learning's helped me see

I owe no one except myself

So I will write to help my health

I write to set my stories free

I write out thoughts consistently

I write on days and sleepless nights

So now you know
